If you want to stand out from the crowd the diverse range of fabrics and colours available allow you to stamp your mark on this buggy.
Women who've had c-sections will appreciate the light handling of the Cameleon
If the price tag is a concern, bear in mind that Bugaboo pushchairs have excellent resale values.
The Bugaboo Cameleon is as the name suggests a buggy of many colours. Bugaboo is a byword for style in the pushchair world. Light and easy to push and steer, but is it a case of style over substance?
Lots of mums I know have been seduced by the downright gorgeous design of the cameleon. You can choose from a big range of colour combinations to customise your buggy and make it unique.
There’s no denying the fact that its a seriously good looking pushchair. It comes with a big price tag, but is it worth the money? I think the jury is still out on this.
Plus points are it’s light weight, ease of steering and great looks. If you’ve had a c-section it will be a boon. Other mums swear by its sleep inducing powers.
Marks off for some dubious design features. In pram mode the carry basket is tricky to use. It’s not very compact so you’ll need a decent size car boot, and the folding mechanism isn’t very straightforward.
One nice feature is the flip handle bar which means you can change the direction you push it in. Putting the big wheels at the front is good for off road use. Though if you’re tackling seriously muddy paths the small rear wheels are liable to clog up.
With the small wheels at the front it turns on a sixpence which makes its perfect for use in town.
So, in summary, we have the buggy equivalent of marmite… you either love it or you hate it.
Folded Size = 90 x 60 x 30.5cm
Weight = 9.3kg
Handle Height = 97 - 113cm
We brought a bugaboo cameleon just over a year ago before we had our first child and I love it!! It is easy to use, seems to be a comfortable ride for my son and has some really cool features which naturally my husband informed me about!! At the time we were looking it seemed to be the only pram that didn't require you to buy a seperate cot section for use up to 6 months so even though the initial cost was a bit more than the iCandy, for example, it was about the same after you added the extra cot cost on. The only downsides are the amount of space it takes up in the boot which is quite amazing and the difficulty accessing the storage area when it is in cot mode however once it is changed to the seat this is no longer a problem. All in all I love it and wouldn't have anything else.
